Kingston Railway Station

Parish: Kingston

The Kingston Railway Station was built along the Jamaica/Georgian lines of architecture. It was constructed on a grand scale, symbolising the economic importance of the city of Kingston as the centre of trade. The station is constructed of brick with prominent arcades on both levels of the east entrance end. Victorian cast iron brackets support the roof overhang on the trackside. The building has sash windows on the ground and upper floors.

The Kingston Railway Station was constructed in 1845.
